WHAT IS AQUAGOLD?
Aquagold treatment involves the use of gold-plated, stainless steel needles. These tiny needles stimulate natural collagen production and open microchannels on the surface of the skin, which allow products like peptides, antioxidants, wrinkle relaxers, and dermal fillers to be delivered more effectively and precisely.

- Please avoid chemical peels in the two weeks leading up to your treatment.
- Avoid using retinol products for three days leading up to your treatment.
- Avoid getting a sunburn or prolonged sun exposure before your treatment.
- Do not use wax in the two weeks leading up to your appointment.
- Please notify your provider of any cold sores or other irritation prior to your treatment.
- Avoid washing your face the day of treatment.
- Avoid putting makeup on after treatment.
- Avoid direct sun exposure in the day following your treatment.
- If you go into the sun, be sure to use good quality, non-comedogenic sunscreen.
- Avoid swimming, saunas, and steam rooms in the day following your treatment.
AQUAGOLD FAQ’S
Aquagold delivers tiny punctures and ingredients 0.6mm into the skin. Microneedling treatments range anywhere from 0.1-2.5mm deep. Microneedling tends to have a slightly longer recovery time and is a treatment for more severe sun damage, pigmentation and deeper lines and wrinkles.
It is common to notice mild redness and swelling immediately after the procedure. This quickly subsides.
You will notice glowing, plump skin immediately after the procedure. Results will also improve with time!
The procedure is well tolerated and well accepted by patients. No anesthesia is needed.
Makeup may be worn 24 hours after treatment.
