TREATMENT GUIDELINES

Pre-Treatment Guidelines

Please avoid chemical peels in the two weeks leading up to your treatment.
Avoid using retinol products for three days leading up to your treatment.
Avoid getting a sunburn or prolonged sun exposure before your treatment.
Do not use wax in the two weeks leading up to your appointment.
Please notify your provider of any cold sores or other irritation prior to your treatment.

Post-Treatment Guidelines

Avoid washing your face the day of treatment.
Avoid putting makeup on after treatment.
Avoid direct sun exposure in the day following your treatment.
If you go into the sun, be sure to use good quality, non-comedogenic sunscreen.
Avoid swimming, saunas, and steam rooms in the day following your treatment.

AQUAGOLD FAQ’S

How is Aquagold different from microneedling?

Aquagold delivers tiny punctures and ingredients 0.6mm into the skin. Microneedling treatments range anywhere from 0.1-2.5mm deep. Microneedling tends to have a slightly longer recovery time and is a treatment for more severe sun damage, pigmentation and deeper lines and wrinkles.

What is the downtime? Can I go back to work after my treatment?

It is common to notice mild redness and swelling immediately after the procedure. This quickly subsides.

When will I see results?

You will notice glowing, plump skin immediately after the procedure. Results will also improve with time!

Does it hurt?

The procedure is well tolerated and well accepted by patients. No anesthesia is needed.

When can I wear makeup again?

Makeup may be worn 24 hours after treatment.
